An opportunity has arisen to join The Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association in a key operational role. Supporting the Chief Executive of a vibrant and growing Scottish trade association you will provide support, particularly in relation to the arrangement of membership activity and member meetings.

The Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (SHFCA) is recognised as one of the world’s most proactive regional Hydrogen & Fuel Cell sector member organisations.  It is characterised by a broad base of membership and has a key focus on delivering Clean Energy Technologies, especially in the frame of Scotland’s unique Renewable Energy resource and ambitious Climate Change targets.

Job Responsibilities

 
The Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer will support the day-to-day running of the Association, and help with organisation and delivery of the SHFCA Annual Conference, which this year is in Dundee on 26th September. This conference support will include:

·         Maintaining the plan for the conference created by the CEO;

·         Supporting the CEO to bring in sponsorship for the conference by creating a polished and professional sponsorship package for the event;

·         Helping to arrange meetings between the CEO and potential sponsors;

·         Creating a conference programme for hand-out on the day

The Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer will also help to create and deliver supporting social media and marketing strategy for the annual conference that will also help the association reach new members over the next 12 months. This will include:

·         Sending out polished and professional member emails and potentially a newsletter to the associations member;

·         Dealing with enquiries to SHFCA from both members and non-members and pointing them to the CE if required;

·         Maintaining a contact list of the associations dealings and help ensure SHFCA complies with Data Protection Regulations;

·         Providing some administrative support the CEO with planning the associations 4 member meetings, to be held over the next 12 months

 

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements

·         Candidates should be educated to Higher level or equivalent, with relevant experience;

·         Should be fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications, website and social media platforms;

·         Experience of event, meeting, or conference organisation, promotion, and delivery;

·         Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy;

·         Excellent communication (oral and written) and inter-personal skills;

·         Capable of working flexibly and under their own initiative with minimum supervision

 

Interview will take place during the week commencing the 2nd of July.
