Richard Witney

Richard is an energy/environmental consultant with over 20 years experience in the renewable energy, environmental management and energy efficiency sectors.  He is a Chartered Environmentalist, Lead ESOS assessor, EMS auditor and environmental auditor registered with The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and a Framework Consultant for Resource Efficient Scotland.  Richard is a Director of  On Site Generation Ltd which also installs renewable energy systems including solar photovoltaic systems and heat pumps, provides specialist consultancy and offer training courses to a wide range of clients commercial and domestic clients around Scotland. The three elements of the business interlink to provide practical and technical knowledge of designing and installing energy efficiency and microgeneration systems to the highest of standards. 

Richard has an MSc in Environmental Management & Technology and has worked in the electricity generation and oil and gas sectors.  In the early stages of his career, Richard worked as a consultant for the Business Environmental Partnership, the predecessor to Bright Green Business.  Helping businesses in Midlothian save money through energy efficiency improvements and enhancing their environment credentials by implementing environmental management system or encouraging student placements as an excellent additional resource.
